Background:

Paul Newman had his Bhrigu Bindu in Vishakha in the 11^th house. He played with fire as part of the US Navy (and survived) and also led the life of Indra as part of the Hollywood elite. Saturn the lord of the 2H and the 3H was also conjunct with the Bhrigu Bindu in the 11H of gains. The lord of the 11H, Venus (entertainment & Guru Shukracharaya) was posited in the Lagna in Purva Ashadha conjunct with Jupiter (Deva Guru) with Mercury (10L) also in Purva Ashadha. The connection of the 10L , Mercury, gave him success in many professions (monkey element) ranging from the US Navy, Hollywood, Racing Driver, Team Owner, Businessman, Environmentalist and many others.  

Interpretation:

• Aparajita: As a radioman-gunner, Paul Newman was ordered aboard the USS Bunker Hill with a draft of replacements shortly before the Battle of Okinawa in the spring of 1945. His pilot’s ear infection (Sun the lord of the 9H in Shravana – ear and Ketu the 12L in Sharavana – ear) kept his plane grounded while the rest of their squadron continued to the aircraft carrier. Days later the rest of their unit on the USS Bunker Hill were among those killed when the ship was the target of a kamikaze attack. So, his ear infection caused by Ketu in Shravana was the reason of his not dying in the kamikaze attack which was also the cause of his good fortune (sun the 9L in Shravana). He remained Aparajita!

2. Mel Gibson:

Near water is a theme from Purva Ashadha. This private island (Mago Island, Fiji) is one of the homes of Mel Gibson – who owned home around the world

Background:

Mel Gibson has his Bhrigu Bindu in Bharani Nakshatra. The ruling planet in Venus which rules over the kidneys. Bharani is also represented by the twins Yama and Yami. 3. Johnny Carson:

Background:  

Johnny Carson began his career as a magician (Guru Shukracharaya was playing the lead role then). Johnny Carson started his entertainment career young, working as a magician in Nebraska. After purchasing a magic kit and book at twelve and doing much practice, he soon began performing (and getting paid to do so) at events such as county fairs and Kiwanis Club meetings. He continued his magical career during college after he served in World War II and took advantage of the G.I. Bill, while at the same time preparing for a career in radio and writing (when Deva Guru Brihaspati began asserting his role)

Interpretation:

• Aparajita:  John William “Johnny” Carson was an American television host, comedian, writer, producer, actor, and musician, best known for his thirty years as host of The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson (1962–1992). Carson received six Emmy Awards, the Governor’s Award, and a 1985 Peabody Award. He was inducted into the Television Academy Hall of Fame in 1987. Johnny Carson was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 1992 and received a Kennedy Center Honor in 1993. Although his show was already successful by the end of the 1960s, during the 1970s Carson became an American icon and remained so even after his retirement in 1992.
• Creates energy:  Johnny Carson has Jupiter and Moon in Purva Ashadha in the 3H of written communication.
